Why This Rejection Happens

Your campaign involves age-restricted content (Alcohol, Tobacco, Vape, Lottery, Firearms), but the Age Gated attribute in the Campaign Registry settings is set to FALSE.

Root Cause Analysis

Carrier Requirement: T-Mobile and AT&T strictly require the "Age Gated" flag for any traffic related to regulated industries to ensure carrier-level filtering compliance.

Detected Triggers in Sample Messages

  • Keywords: "Wine", "Beer", "Vape", "Bet", "Cigar", "Ammo".
  • Website Content: Your provided brand website sells age-restricted products.
  • Vertical Selection: You selected "Entertainment" or "Retail" instead of the specific regulated vertical (e.g., "Alcohol").

How to Fix

1

Edit Campaign Attributes

You must unlock the campaign (or create a new one if your CSP doesn't allow editing) and locate the Campaign Attributes section.

Settings > Attributes > Age Gated Content = TRUE
2

Verify Website Age Gate

If you enable the attribute, your website must have a functioning age verification pop-up. If it does not, you will simply get rejected with Code 30888 later.

⚠️ Warning: Simply adding "21+" to the footer is not enough. You need an active modal that requires user interaction (e.g., entering birthdate or clicking "I am over 21").
3

Update Opt-in Flow

Ensure your opt-in SMS flow includes age confirmation if the website does not handle it reliably. Example: "Reply YES only if you are 21+."
