Invalid Sample Messages
Why This Rejection Happens
The sample messages provided in your campaign registration do not meet carrier standards. They may lack required elements (like opt-out language), use placeholder text, or describe content different from your "Campaign Description."
- Missing Brand Name in the sample message.
- Missing opt-out instructions (e.g., "Reply STOP to cancel").
- Using placeholder brackets like "[Insert Date]" or "[Link]".
- Sample messages that look like spam (e.g., "U have won a prize!").
Root Cause Analysis
Primary Triggers
- The "Lazy" Sample: Submitting "Test message 1" or "Appointment reminder" instead of the actual text the end-user will see.
- Public URL Shorteners: Using bit.ly or tinyurl in the sample. These are strictly prohibited on 10DLC.
Anatomy of a Compliant Sample Message
The "Safe" Template
Key Ingredients: 1. Who you are (Brand). 2. What you want (Content). 3. How to leave (Opt-out).
Step-by-Step Remediation
Add Branding & Opt-out
Every single sample message must identify who is sending it and how to stop it. This is not optional.
Compliant
Non-Compliant
Who is this from? How do I stop it?
Remove Placeholders
Do not use brackets like `[Link]` or `[Date]`. Use realistic example data.
