Why This Rejection Happens
This is a blanket rejection for any violation of the SHAFT (Sex, Hate, Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco) policy or other prohibited content rules. Vetting agents found keywords, images, or business practices on your website or in your samples that are banned on 10DLC networks.
- Cannabis/CBD/Kratom keywords (Federally illegal or high risk).
- Vaping or E-cigarette sales.
- Third-party lead generation or affiliate marketing links.
- Get-rich-quick schemes or multi-level marketing (MLM).
Root Cause Analysis
Primary Triggers
- Zero Tolerance: Carriers like T-Mobile impose immediate fines for SHAFT violations. This code is often a warning before a fine is levied.
- Broad Interpretation: "Prohibited" includes not just illegal items, but also high-risk financial services (payday loans), debt collection, and deceptive marketing.
Step-by-Step Remediation
Identify the Violation
Review your content against the prohibited list: Cannabis, CBD, Vape, Kratom, Gambling, Loans, Debt Relief, Crypto, Sex, Hate, Firearms. If you sell any of these, you are likely blocked permanently.
Cleanse Website
If you are a legitimate business with some incidental risky content (e.g., a convenience store that sells vapes but texts about pizza), remove the prohibited items from your homepage or linked pages to pass vetting.
Pre-Resubmission Checklist
- I confirm my business is not in a prohibited vertical.
- I have removed keywords related to drugs, weapons, or adult content.
