"Lead Generation" in the context of 10DLC specifically refers to the practice of collecting consumer information (leads) to sell or share with third parties. Carriers strictly prohibit campaigns where the entity sending the message is not the entity the consumer originally contacted.

Common Triggers:

"We found a lender for you!" (Loan matching sites).
"Your insurance quote is ready from our partner."
Privacy Policy says: "We share data with marketing affiliates."
Opt-in consent is bundled for "Select Partners."

Primary Triggers

Data Trading: The core issue is data provenance. If you buy a list or sell your list, you cannot use 10DLC. The sender must be the First Party who collected the consent.
Ambiguous Consent: "I agree to receive texts from [Company] and its affiliates." This "blanket" consent is invalid for 10DLC. Consent must be specific to ONE brand.

Check your sample messages. Do the links go to your own domain (brand.com) or to a tracking domain (clickbank.net, bit.ly, offer.com)? If they go elsewhere, you are flagged as an affiliate. Change them to direct links on your own site.

Fix Privacy Policy

You MUST include the specific exclusion clause: "No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes." (See Code 7103). Without this, lead gen is assumed.
